WitchFinder Trail Run/ Walk 5k & 10k

Sunday 14th April 2019

The Charity run/walk was held for the second year running and we were all so delighted that it was a sell out this year.
There were 252 runners and walkers, approximately 50 volunteers and about 15 dogs.

It was a really wonderful day for all and we are so grateful to everyone who supported and sponsored the event.  Both young and old, as well as four-legged enjoyed running or walking around the historic sights and meeting the townsfolk of the era.

The medals and trophies were incredible this year all thanks to Essex & South Suffolk Community Rail Partnership, the t-shirts looked amazing thanks to Concord Property sponsoring and everyone loved the Edme Malt Loaf made specially for the event. We’d go as far as saying there was quite a few who only signed up for the malt loaf!!!

The volunteers who helped on the day and before were outstanding and we cannot thank them enough for everything they did, from the fabulous Manifest & Headgate Actors & Actresses to all of the dedicated Acorn Volunteers.
It is very true to say that an idea for an event is good, but it’s the volunteers who make it great and this event was proof of this.

A huge thank you to Simon Tavner who is the main volunteer event co-ordinator making this event happen for the second time and adding a 10k route.

Congratulations to all of the winners and every single person (and dog!) who took part raising vital funds for adults with learning disabilities at Acorn Village.

A special thank you to all of our financial sponsors, whose support helped raise the incredible total of £3,800 to support adults with learning disabilities
