At Acorn Village we are taking the protection and wellbeing of our service users, staff, volunteers and visitors very seriously in light of the COVID-19 virus, especially as this is the annual cold and flu season. We are following all Government advice, liaising closely with appropriate agencies and have contingency plans in place in case the situation changes.
Whilst our site currently remains open, the very best way that our wonderful supporters can help us keep everybody safe is to not visit us if they have a temperature or coughs and colds, have been to any of the affected areas or feel there is any chance that they may have been exposed to the virus.
If you are visiting us, please strictly adhere to the guidance for handwashing and use the antibacterial gels provided.
With regards to donations of items, we are currently accepting these until advised otherwise. Please ensure these items are saleable and do not donate if you have any symptoms of Covid-19. Please remember it costs the charity to dispose of items that can’t be sold on.
The following link gives up to date information regarding affected areas and action to take if you have travelled to them. If you are unsure then please do not hesitate to contact us for advice.
Thank you for your continued support.
